Deb Ruggiero is a businesswoman, broadcaster, and community leader. She understands ‘the art of business’ and the ‘business of art.’

Deb graduated from Boston College in 1980 and spent the first ten years of her broadcasting career on-air as a

news anchor and talk show host at CBS radio and WMJX radio in Boston.

Since 1990, she’s worked in TV and radio sales management as national sales manager for WPRI TV 12/ FOX64 and as local sales manager of WBDC-TV in Washington, DC.

$38,000 for KidsROCK project in Jamestown

Currently, Deb is Director of Community Development for Citadel Broadcasting. She’s intent on guiding broadcasters to better community service. She is the creator and host of “AMAZING WOMEN“, a radio talk show that celebrates the accomplishments of Rhode Island women who make a difference in our community — how women accomplish, encourage, legislate, live, and love.

“I’m so blessed to be able to share the stories of so many ‘Amazing Women’ who make a difference every day. It’s inspirational to learn how many women contribute to this state in terms of economic, educational, professional, and social achievements. You’ll hear the stories of the women you recognize, but also he stories of the unsung heroes who don’t always make the headlines.”

Deb Ruggiero is a founding board member of The Women’s Fund of RI, past president of the board

of the American Lung Association of Rhode Island, and serves on the philanthropic committee for the Rhode Island Foundation. She has been an instructor at Providence College since 1992, teaching Broadcast Advertising and Marketing Research.

Deb lives in Jamestown, is an avid golfer, and loves to cook.
